Amor Sanguinis
Artist: The Bloodclan
Originally a limited released online 2009
Re-released online September 2010
Running time: 36:51
Pen and paper role players rejoice, as an EP based on White Wolf’s “Vampire the Masquerade” has crept out of the shadows to feed. Listen in as The Bloodclan takes you through bloody tales of Vampires – The hunger, lust, and politics that shape the world unseen by most mortals.
Starting with the very origins and ending with the Time of Judgement to bring Gehenna, this will cover all your bloodsucking needs, and you Haematophiliacs will certainly love “LARPer Girl.” The Bloodclan is one-half Nerdcore rapper MC_Loki and one-half Diabeats, who brings sexy singing to the table along with her flow.
Multiple Artists in Wichita, Kansas on 09/18/10
A celebration in honor of Scrub Club Records and the city in which it was born – Wichita, Kansas. We reached 10,000 album downloads this year on a single album (8Bit Bullshit), and a grand total of over 60,000 downloads on all of our albums… and we figure it’s high time we kick off a party to celebrate what we are and where we’ve been these last nine years.
Come see and visit a few key places in Scrub Club’s history as well as get down on some purely horrible midwestern food.
Southside – Please Southside, Don’t Hurt ‘Em
Please Southside, Don’t Hurt ‘Em
Artist: Southside
Originally released on physical copy in 2007
Re-released online September 2010
Running time: 53:33
Also featuring: Desperate4Rhymes.
An oldie but a goodie (does anyone actually say that shit?), “Don’t Hurt ‘Em” was Southside’s debut album back in 2007. Previously available in physical disc format only, we are now glad to share this piece of Seattle’s independent history with all you Scrubs out there.
Untested Methods – Alt+F4 My Life
Alt+F4 My Life
Artist: Untested Methods
Released online August 2010
Running time: 50:21
Also featuring: Karmageddon and Gl1tch.
Describing this album is a tough task. Imagine a world where there are living, breathing 8 Bit Nintendos walking around. Now imagine what those Nintendos listen to on their college radio stations. It’s one-third that. Some of those Nintendos are in the back of a hard rock concert, making out (probably by blowing in each other’s cartridge slots). That’s another third of the sound. The last third of the vibe resembles a lonely, heartbroken Nintendo laying on its bedroom floor with headphones on, listening to songs of love while wishing they had someone that felt the same way.
Shammers – Shmix Tape
Shmix Tape
Artist: Shammers
Released online July 2010
Running time: 14:49
Also featuring: Lefthand (Executive Producer).
The shortest Scrub Club release to date also packs some of the best laughs. Shammers brings his special blend of comedy into Hip Hop form, providing great cadence and punchlines that compliment each unique beat served up by his partner in crime, Lefthand.
You will find songs about Pokemon, Starcraft, the adorable meme Keyboard Cat, and man meat. Yeah, you know, man meat… the salty kind. A winner in the argument that size doesn’t necessarily matter, this short EP still packs four incredibly well-done songs and two wonderfully inappropriate skits.
Dale Chase – Limit Break
Limit Break
Artist: Dale Chase
Released online August 2010
Running time: 42:57
Also featuring: Billy Free, Professor Lyrical, and Int Eighty of Dual Core.
This first full-length release breaks any barriers you might expect from a new artist. The flow is smooth and tight, the production will give you a sore neck on every track from being unable to deny the groove, and the musicality of it all makes this album nothing but a strong step forward for Dale.

A giant Gen Con thank you

This past weekend has opened my eyes to a few new paths of thinking and reasoning when it comes to Scrub Club.
You have to understand, I mean this truthfully when I say that our four days at Gen Con were the biggest, tightest bonding experience we’ve ever had together as musicians and friends. The Friday night show AT Gen Con was the best, most fun show I’ve ever performed, seen, or been involved with in over nine years. It’s not like it was a 30,000 attendee sold out show or anything, and the equipment we were provided was sub-par… but the VIBE. The vibe was through the roof. The vibe from the crowd and our fellow Scrubs pierced Heaven and whatever other afterlife you may believe in, all in a big, long row like a delicious beef, chicken, shrimp, and veggie skewer. And then it all wrapped up with a fun time performing our first outside set at Scotty’s in downtown Indiana, which felt more like a supportive family reunion than anything.
Kabuto The Python – Ill Ron Hubbard
Ill Ron Hubbard
Artist: Kabuto The Python
Released online August 2010
Running time: 31:58
Also featuring: Fatty Goodness and Billy the Fridge.
This EP represents the salvaged debris that was left after Kabuto’s first attempt at an album was devastated by not one, but TWO catastrophic hard drive failures. What was recovered in the aftermath is a volley of fresh verses, catchy cuts, surprising samples, a few great guest verses, and more of that poisonous Python flavor you’ve been craving.
