Absodefilutely

Artist: Dale Chase
Originally released 2009
Re-Released online September 2010
Running time: 20:26

Also featuring: Kether Donohue and Emilie Weibel.

Back in 2009, Dale Chase released this EP as his debut, and there isn’t a bit of dust on it. Even for his first official outing, the smooth swagger and lyrical wordplay is intact and this is a solid release that will make you want to hear more.

It contains some of Dale’s most classic tracks, “That’s So Meta” and “Coder Girl,”  and also features the wildest and most tongue-in-cheek Zelda song you’ll ever hear, “Ganon’s Revenge.” Completely produced from the ground up by Mr. Chase himself, you can be rest assured that the quality, laid-back cadences and catchy beats are in effect.

Limit Break

Artist: Dale Chase
Released online August 2010
Running time: 42:57

Also featuring: Billy Free, Professor Lyrical, and Int Eighty of Dual Core.

This first full-length release breaks any barriers you might expect from a new artist. The flow is smooth and tight, the production will give you a sore neck on every track from being unable to deny the groove, and the musicality of it all makes this album nothing but a strong step forward for Dale.

With rap flavor that will truly speak to you and plenty of soul, it’s already a Hip Hop classic… but this album is also destined to make Dale Chase a major player in the growing Nerdcore scene, as it is riddled with references to technology, internet memes, science fiction, video games, and even an anthem for the poindexter superstore, ThinkGeek.com.

A brooklyn-born Hip Hop producer and emcee, Dale Chase loves writing songs about geek culture. With a laid back flow and a general groove attitude towards life, Mr. Chase is ready to bring you some classic Hip Hop storytelling to keep your head nodding off the axis.

Having been a hobbyist programmer since the age of 12, it wasn’t a stretch when he decided to write one of his biggest first tracks, “Coder Girl,” his ode to female programmers.

His sound, cultivated from a blend of artists like Pete Rock, Ski, and Donald Fagen, is coupled with lyrics referencing Doctor Who, the X-files, and much more.
