Z.E.D.

Artist: Emergency Pizza Party
Originally released October 2008
Re-Released Online September 2010
Running time: 49:17

Z.E.D. (Zombie Earth Defense) is a badass play on the old radio shows of the past, when families would huddle around their radio receiver to listen to amazing, thrilling theater… before the visuals of television. One part Hip Hop, one part zombies, and two parts total cheese, this concept album is a perfect listen for any lovers of brain-eaters, science fiction, low-budget horror, or the highest quality of bad acting available in audio format!

This audio drama is entirely ficticious. If there is an actual zombie outbreak in your area, seek immediate help from law enforcement officials, unless they’re already dead, in which case you’re on your own. For more information about the undead, consult your local library or visit your local Z.E.D. headquarters.

Shine Avenue

Artist: Emergency Pizza Party
Released online June 2010
Running time: 45:03

Shine Avenue marks the return of Emergency Pizza Party with its first release in almost two years! This album also celebrates their first release on Scrub Club Records.

Shine Avenue features a lot of hard work and full dedication by everyone in the group to make a proper introduction of themselves to their new Scrub soldiers. Many sleepless nights and full-on time with the band without hardly seeing the light of day. They are very happy to get this project out for all of their fans, family, and friends… basically everyone who has stuck by EPP all these years.

They also would like to give a big “Thank you” to their families and significant others that had to put up with them through the production of this album, as they spent all of their free time over the past several months putting this project out. They’re very happy to be joining forces with Scrub Club, and look forward to their future with us as they progress with Emergency Pizza Party.

Emergency Pizza Party now signed to Scrub Club!

A match made in a poindexter’s version of heaven, EPP isn’t just joining the ranks and giving their old projects a proper re-release – They’ve got two completely brand new albums incoming! The first one up, “Shine Avenue” will be released later this month, and “Underground Dinosaurs Rule China” will be hitting your brainwaves in the next few months. The only thing I can spill about the new discs is that EPP has been spending massive amounts of time and detail on each track, and the quality of their music has leveled up to points you will not believe. It’s like how Dominoes claimed their pizza is back and better, except EPP actually IS better and they’re a whole fucking party instead of just a single pie.

Be on the lookout for a huge amount of pictures from the amazing photoshoot you see above as well as some previous Emergency Pizza Party releases as time goes on a bit.

For now, you can check out their site: http://www.emergencypizzaparty.com/

And of course, don’t forget to see their set at this year’s Nerdapalooza in Orlando, Florida, July 17th and 18th!

Emergency Pizza Party, also well-known as “EPP,” are an indie Hip Hop group based out of Orlando, Florida. Over the years, they’ve switched around a few members, but their current, awesome line-up is Benjamin Bear, MC Wreckshin, Betty Rebel, Sir-Up, and Funky49.

EPP’s lyrics and content consists of references to comics, movies, video games, and anything generally considered to be part of nerd or geek culture. Emergency Pizza Party are known to have a very unorthodox, sometimes silly, and wholly unique sound that is uncommon within the Nerdcore community.

In February of 2008, EPP joined the ranks of many other musicians to contribute to the 2008-RPM challenge. This contest would mark the release of their first full length LP, “Ughuuhghhhh,” which received many positive reviews from critics and fans alike.

Later that year, the band produced “Zombie Emergency Defense,” or “Z.E.D.” The theme of this album was inspired by an idea from a local Orlando business, A Comic Shop, for an organization designed to train citizens in case of a zombie apocalypse. The album was done in the spirit of a 1930’s radio drama and consisted of a narrator, skits, and songs to tell the story. A Comic Shop heavily promoted the album which was was released Tuesday, October 27th, and EPP performed it live in its entirety at A Comic Shop’s annual Halloween show “Zombie Dance.” It received stronger reviews than the first album and made their next release highly anticipated.

After an almost two year release hiatus, Emergency Pizza Party is back with what promises to be the first of two albums for the year 2010 which, without a doubt, is their best material to date. EPP and Scrub Club have teamed up to get these hot new tracks blowing up your stereo, so get the new album “Shine Avenue” NOW to see how much EPP has evolved!
