The Negative Zone Remix
Artist: Sinister Six / MasDaMind
Released online April 2010
Running time: 43:53

A complete track-by-track remix of the first hard-hitting Sinister Six album, but from a different reality!
All 10 of the original songs from the “Invasion of the Mic Snatchers” album have been sent through a portal device directly into the Negative Zone. After a month, the tracks were retrieved, but these were from the other side of the mirror – the beats have been switched out, speeds were altered, genres were crisscrossed… But there’s one thing scientists can confirm: They are indeed fresh specimens for your ears.
The appropriately-named remixer MasDaMind has mashed up each track for a completely new, surprisingly quirky effect. See what your dimension has been missing!
All of our music here at Scrub Club is free. However, if you enjoyed this release and would like to support our label, please make any size of donation to help all of our artists get new merch and promo items, book bigger shows, and get better equipment. Much love to you all!

ALBUM FACTS AND TRIVIA
This album was a blast to make, and took less than a month to completely fix up. All tracks were mashed together by MasDaMind (Youtube here) (Facebook here) (blog here) and tweaks, adjustments, and advice were given by MadHatter in the process.
“Through the Herald and the Flames” was originally planned to be mixed with the 90′s X-Men cartoon theme, but due to complications, this idea was scrapped and Dragonforce was used instead for a more perfect fit.
“Make Way for the Wild Wild West” is MadHatter’s personal favorite on this album. The original “Make Way” chorus also appeared in another one of MasDaMind’s remixes called “Come With Nerdcore” alongside verses from Scrub Club emcees Kabuto The Python and MadHatter.
“Deeper” also appeared in another one of MasDaMind’s remixes called “Deeper Room Service.”
“Master of Dice” was the toughest mashup to do. It took three complete do-overs to nail it. Timing was the biggest issue, and of course the 1986 recording isn’t the best thing to the ears when mixed with raps.
“Intergalactic HQ” was difficult to put together as well. Two songs were attempted to mix with this track that didn’t quite work – “Still Dre” and “Roc Boys.” But ultimately, “Intergalactic” worked best.
“Lying from your Scientistik Shoulders,” believe it or not, needed only minor editing. The tempos and timing were nearly dead-on. The original “Scientistik” track was also used in one of MasDaMind’s Goldeneye 64 mashups.
“Tear OPP Up” was a little tough to mix, but it’s apparent now that these songs were just made for one another. The original “Tear It Up” track was also used in another one of MasDaMind’s mashups with “On to the Next One” by Jay-Z.
