Evolution

This EP is a chronicle of The Ranger’s previous decade.

It details a few of the phases and struggles he went through including being a barfly, a sex addict, being in a mix of relationships and breakups, and finally talks about his eventual journey into fatherhood.

Some of the tracks were written years ago and some of the earlier versions were recorded, but they have been re-recorded and much more improved for this release. “Evolution” sums up where The Ranger is coming from, where he’s at currently, and where he wants to be in the future.

Tim Wallis has been a recording artist since 2006, but has been honing his craft since the late 1980s. After releasing some early tracks for the Rhyme Torrents compilations under the name “Boumtje,” Wallis proceeded to form a group with himself and two alter-egos called the Down Underdogs. Tracks such as “Nerf Herders” and “Heavy Flow Day” were well-received by nerds and Hip Hop heads alike, but Wallis got tired of playing multiple characters and decided to take things a little more seriously under a new stage name: The Ranger.
