Versus Mode

Scrub Club’s fierce Versus Mode audio / visual competition in mid-2009 led to four new leveled-up artists on the label for 2010.

Held on Scrub Club’s official community site, GeekAmigo.com, Versus Mode was a contest that had a group of up-and-coming artists go head to head for some challenges as well as team up for other goals. Out of a great amount of entrants, only 13 were selected to compete. Among the missions were recording new songs, getting professional photoshoots, promoting themselves, updating their web presence… In the end, when there were three finalists left, they competed against eachother live on stage to become Scrub Club’s next signed artist.

We reached 10,000 album downloads this year on a single album (8Bit Bullshit), and a grand total of over 60,000 downloads on all of our albums… and we figure it’s high time we kick off a party to celebrate what we are and where we’ve been these last nine years.
