12 Steps and 7 Breaths
Artist: HDninja
Released online March 2011
Running time: 37:46
HDninja hops on board with Scrub Club, bringing their previous weapons cache with them and adding a few new tricks.
The 12 steps represent your journey through the number of tracks on the album. The 7 breaths? The Hagakure Kikigaki (Book of the Samurai) says, "With an intense, fresh, and undelaying spirit, one will make his judgments within the space of seven breaths. It is a matter of being determined and having the spirit to break right through to the other side."
With such intense spirit, HDninja attacks you with their unique blend of quirky voices, rap cadence, punk energy, and experimental touches. This collection of their two pre-Scrub Club EPs is a must-have for all listeners, and the download also contains two brand new, unreleased tracks!
All of our music here at Scrub Club is free. However, if you enjoyed this release and would like to support our label, please make any size of donation to help all of our artists get new merch and promo items, book bigger shows, and get better equipment. Much love to you all!
